This series of commissioned paintings for Sol Meliá Torremolinos is inspired by the surrounding terrain, the rhythms of nature, and the tactile beauty of the nearby beach.
Each piece explores the interplay between natural elements and material experimentation—inviting viewers to experience landscape not just as image, but as texture, fragment, and memory.
Anchoring the collection is the "Reflected Tree Diptych", a striking vertical installation that visually connects the ground floor with the upper lobby. This diptych draws from nature’s organic patterns, using stencils and traditional katagamitechniques to evoke transparency, stroke, and texture. Made from a combination of primed and raw canvas, the panels are delicately perforated, introducing a layered dimensionality that echoes the interplay between raw material, environment, and transcendence.
